Any kind of rice will do just make sure you fry the Tofu so it will be crunchy on the outside. I like this kind of dish because I love broccoli and it’s very quick to prepare. Be careful when frying the Tofu.
If you like tofu a lot, you can try this other dish too and you might want to try the Tokwa't Baboy. This dish doesn’t need so many ingredients and for sure you can buy broccoli anywhere in the Philippines. So here are the ingredients.
Ingredients needed:
- 8 pieces Tofu
- 3 cups broccoli
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 6 tbsp cooking oil
- salt
- ground pepper
On the ingredients:
- Tofu - slice it into two parts
- broccoli - wash it carefully because there are some parts of broccoli where it has hidden worms
- Onion - slice thinly
- Garlic - minced it
- Ginger - slice thinly
- salt and pepper - this is depends on your taste.
- Prepare a pan and pre-heat it in a medium heat
- Fry the Tofu back and forth in a low heat until it becomes golden brown
- Then cut it into cubes then set aside
- Saute garlic, ginger and onion then
- Add Tofu and Oyster sauce then mix
- Add Broccoli
- Cover and cook it in 5-8 minutes
- Then add salt and pepper according to your taste
- Done! Serve it hot with rice.
