Macaroni Salad ala Wendy's Style

This is a copycat version of Wendy's Style salad.
Macaroni Salad ala Wendy's Style
When I was in college we used to eat this in Wendy’s together with my classmates, friends and professor during our free time. Since we have a very long free time, this had already been part of our snack food.

I missed those days with friends and professor.
This my own version of Wendy's Style Salad.
Macaroni Salad ala Wendy's Style
Lists of ingredients from the picture:
  1. Elbow macaroni
  2. Carrots
  3. Cucumber
  4. Red Gelatin
  5. Green Gelatin
  6. Sauce
  7. Cheese
This is not the latest salad of Wendy’s style I have copied but the salad they had before. My friend made a salad that was similar to his sauce and I had thought immediately of that Wendy’s salad.

So here are the ingredients we will need:
  • 1 Red and 1 Green jelly powder
  • grated cheese
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise preferably best food real mayonnaise
  • carrots
  • cucumber
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • pineapple (optional)
What to do with the ingredients:
  • Cook in a separate pot the jelly powder, after cooking it. Chill and cut into cubes.
  • Cucumber - cut but don’t peel
  • Carrots - cut into small cubes
  • Elbow macaroni - cook in a pot and drain water. Set aside.
Here is how to make it:
  1. In a bowl, get 1 cup macaroni then add red and green gelatin
  2. Add carrots, cucumber
  3. Combine Ketchup and mayonnaise then mix. Add it on top of the salad
  4. Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the salad.
  5. Then Mix. Add some more sauce if it is necessary.
  6. If you want to add the pineapple you may do so.
I hope you like this recipe. Thanks for the visit.

    1. Hi Onio, this is based on my observation, use Agar-agar in stick (can be bought in the wet & dry market Philippines) because it is more firm than powder. You may try that. Thanks for visiting this blog.
