Pinoy version of Cola Chicken
Royal Braised Chicken (Soda Chicken)

I got this idea from a "Chinese Braised Coca Cola Chicken wings" that gives savory, sweetness and flavorful chicken. Instead of using Coke, I chose Royal which is also sweet and sweeter than coke and gives an appetizing color to my Braised Chicken.

I marinated this with Royal and other condiments. If you have already tried my Chicken Adobo with turmeric and Pork Adobo, these are similar to this recipe today.

It is so easy, you just have to marinate it then cook right away. In Chinese version, they cook it right away after marinading it which is I marinated the chicken overnight. Believe me, chicken is tastier and you'll taste the flavor of our marinated sauce. It also smell so good. But if you're in a hurry, marinade is just fine.

You can actually use any kind of soda as long as it is not sour.
